coney île {creative outings}

sometimes it’s so easy to find inspiration everywhere and then other times….nothing.
we all go through it from time to time and some recharging is in order.
my friend and fellow photographer, peghi, suggested that we choose a location and
just go shoot what we see. a kind of creative adventure for ourselves…a creative scavenger hunt.
she had the great idea of roaming around coney island.
we went late in the afternoon.
the park had an alluring lonely abandoned atmosphere that made us
feel as if we were somewhere….not here…parfait!

i can’t even tell you how exciting, refreshing, fun and totally inspiring this little jump off the path was!
i think we’re calling them our ‘creative outings!’
i wonder where the next one will be?

I love them! I love the composition, the treatment with the textrues, the writing and postage stamp! So cool.

pehgi {mon ami}

we all joke about how hard it is to be on
the other side of the camera,
but it’s no joke when you are there;)
pehgi has photographed me
(she made it easy and fun and…i loved my photos)
so now it was my turn to photograph her…
pehgi, my friend, fellow artist and
photographer extraordinaire.

she is a master at hair flipping:)

we leave the safety of her home and go on the road….
we went to a sweet little alley that we’ve both shot at before…
just not her;)

ok…i think we’re done here…

now for a whole different mood…

now…on to her

just made it before sunset!!!!

i had sooo much fun today just playing around…

Jess (studio3z) - Gina, the shots of her twirling in the cemetery are magical! I’m dying to know where “the boathouse” is. I love it! Looks like you guys had a blast together. 🙂

olivia {turns one}

when elizha (mom) asked me to take her daughters 1 year photographs,
i was thrilled!
not only is she beautiful, she is perpetually in a good mood;)
she must have known something good was up because she was extra ‘on’ this day.
meet olivia…1 year old!

what a baby! what a day!
