ella and grace

it’s that time of year for us location photogs to do a little house cleaning, organizing, updating,
personal projects, and yes…catching up on past due blogs from the year.
i’ll be posting some favorites from throughout the past year soon.
for today…ella and grace.

from early to late autumn, the wall across the street from the front door of my studio
is alive with colour from all the climbing vines of ivy…
providing a perfect natural backdrop for
this sweet sisters holiday mini session.
having 3 girls myself, and a little sister whom i adore,
the sister bond is big with me.
{hint, hint…don’t ever forget that…sisters}

&
the mom (stephanie) of these two sweeties is owner of a brand new retail addition to our little end of oakley
called sewn studio.
it’s a sewing lounge where you can come and (of course) sew, visit, learn through workshops and
connect with peeps of similar creative minds.
i’m hearing the selections of fun, colourful, contemporary fabrics is beyond fabulous.
sewn studio is scheduled to open in february.
you can check it out on the official face book page here.

Ilene - I know and love those gorgeous girls well!

model portfolios {erin}

these are from a little session that my daughter, lexi, put together. she asked if i would mind doing
hair and make up. since it’s been a while since i’ve gotten to do anything but the ‘normal’ make up
{that is usually required on many shoots that i’m styling in town} i was excited to get to be a little bit more creative.
and…how could i not do a little shooting too, since i was there
{remember how my daughter let me take a few shots on this shoot too}
i mean, i had my camera and we were in our studio…
i’m really proud of what she put together.
be sure to check out her blog at lexivornberg.com/blog and look at her beautiful work.

erin, you are a principessa
{so excited to use the crown again}

now for a little indiana jones meets a reading wall…

a winter journey {buff)

all the holiday decorations are packed away and usually i am taken with how empty
and sad our home looks all of a sudden.
as much as i love colour, i will admit i also love biege and griege and alabaster
and concrete and of course, sand {i’ll take sea and sky with my sand, thank you very much.}
right now, i am ready for some soothing, calming colours.
nothing catching my attention too much.
just for a little while…
